Community Unlimited – Job Description GSRP Supervisor

The entire staff is essential to the overall quality of Community Unlimited programs. Staff is directly involved in the process of program development, implementation, and evaluation. Positive character, sharing knowledge, and communication are key to successful programs.

Staff must adhere to the standards set in the CU Employee Handbook, MI Child Care Licensing, and appropriate programmatic standards: GSRP Implementation Manual, CLASS, Early Childhood Standards of Quality for Prekindergarten, and Michigan Out-of-School Time Standards of Quality.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Reports to the Community Unlimited Executive Director.
Regularly checks in with the administrative team to collaborate and communicate regarding programming, and attends weekly team meetings.
Maintaining consistent structure through policies and procedures to ensure smooth daily classroom operation.
Provides mentoring and training opportunities, in alignment with the HighScope curriculum and GSRP requirements as outlined in the GSRP implementation manual, to the teaching staff.
Coaching leadership approach that creates a culture of high performance by building and maintaining strong relationships.
Coordinates with CISD coaches to enhance and support professional development for teaching staff.
Observes classrooms and give regular, quality feedback to teaching staff.
Completes annual evaluations and coach staff to create professional goals.
Works with teachers to support families by connecting them with appropriate resources.
Ensures compliance with district policies and protocols as it relates to partnerships, programming, and professional development.
Maintains and submit required reports and provide necessary information accurately and punctually.
Maintains appropriate communication records regarding evaluations, and contact with children, their families, and community partners.
Partners with the administrative team to create and implement professional development training.
Proficiency with technology, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office, Google applications, and Dropbox.
Schedules and facilitate professional meetings.
Flexibility, self-awareness, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are a requirement.
Schedule: This is considered a year-round, full-time, salaried position (exempt from overtime) averaging 40 hours/wk.

Compensation:

$40,000 – 50,000 per above effective dates
Monthly Stipend: In lieu of group health insurance, employee will receive $400/month stipend.
Retirement Plan: Employer contribution and matching contribution are available after eligibility requirements have been met; see the Employee Handbook and/or Retirement Plan for details.
An individual Life / AD&D policy and a Short-Term Disability policy.
Fifteen (15) Vacation Days: to be used in accordance with procedures in the CU Employee Handbook.
Education and Qualifications:

A BA/BS in Early Childhood Education preferred; a minimum of an Associates degree in Early Childhood required
GSRP teaching experience required; HighScope competency preferred
Supervisory and leadership experience required.
Requires reliable transportation due to local travel
Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
